Anyone using AI in document-based processes is making an operational decision. It is not only about processing information from documents more quickly. Companies must also be able to verify how AI models are used, monitored and secured.

Buildsimple has documented its own approach to AI in line with the Hiroshima AI Process (HAIP). HAIP is a G7 initiative for the safe and trustworthy use of AI and provides a voluntary framework for greater transparency in the use of AI systems.

This makes visible how Buildsimple assesses risks, conducts tests, implements information security and handles incidents. It also describes how human-in-the-loop reviews can be used when results require additional verification.

This gives compliance officers greater confidence in their assessment: They receive a comprehensible basis for better evaluating the use of AI in document-based processes. IT and business departments can decide more quickly whether and how automation can be used productively.

This transparency is particularly important for regulated and BaFin-regulated companies. AI must not only work in these environments. It must be explainable, controllable and capable of being integrated into existing governance structures.

Buildsimple embraces this voluntary transparency framework because trust in AI does not arise from promises. Trust comes from disclosure, traceability and clear control mechanisms.
