Malte Sukopp

At Buildsimple, Malte is responsible for data protection, information security and compliance. He ensures that companies can rely on a platform where security, traceability and robust framework conditions are considered from the outset. His strength lies in bringing together technical depth, organisational requirements and regulatory specifications in a way that creates a reliable framework for productive operation.

His professional career began in 1998 with training as an IT specialist in application development. Early on, he worked at the interface between development, system administration and database operations. His responsibilities included administering a wide range of Unix and Linux systems, supporting internal platforms and working with database systems such as Informix, Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server. At the same time, he developed solutions for tuning relational databases, placing him from the outset in an environment where stability, performance and technical diligence are crucial.

After completing his training, Malte worked in development, consulting, training and support for Informix database systems and Cognos BI. Later, he was responsible for the associated support as well as first-level support for the entire company. From 2013 to 2023, he headed internal IT and also took responsibility for data protection, occupational safety and office management across all locations. During this time, he implemented key requirements of the GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001 within the company and helped shape its organisational and security-related framework for many years.

Since 2023, Malte has been contributing this experience to the Buildsimple business unit. There, he combines technical practice, an understanding of governance and organisational feasibility with a clear focus on the requirements of modern platforms. In this way, he lays the foundation for companies to operate document-based processes securely, transparently and reliably.
